Hi - I’m Jen!

I am an analog photographer and textile artist - often combining the two to create stunning one-of-a-kind mixed media artworks.

I started as a film photographer - so all of my images start with a film photograph - either one I’ve taken on my travels or one I’ve found.

From there, I take a playful approach adding layers to the story using embroidery, watercolor, and collage.

My work has been published virtually, and in print in the United States and Internationally.

It’s safe to say that I have a wonderful love affair with Polaroid cameras.

That’s me with my Nana and Poppie on Christmas morning with my very first Polaroid camera… circa mid-1980’s.

I now have a lovely collection of Polaroids (vintage and modern) that I shoot almost daily.

Instant Art: My Approach

  • Sometimes my art ends there - as a Polaroid photo.

  • Sometimes I add a cute little paper airplane to my travel Polaroids.

  • Sometimes I take pieces from the event and embroider them to the Polaroid (like I did for The Eras Tour!)

  • Sometimes I add watercolor to my Polaroids.

  • Sometimes I take photographs, turn them into Polaroids, and then add embroidery thread - giving the image a new life forever.
