Hi - I’m Jen!
I'm an artist exploring the space where instant photography meets slow, intentional craft.
In a world dominated by digital imagery, I’m drawn to the simplicity and physicality of Polaroids. There’s something magical about the way instant film captures a moment — imperfect, unpredictable, and completely unique. Each photo feels like its own little story, shaped as much by the light and timing as by the quirks of the camera itself.
I take these images a step further by stitching directly into them. Embroidery adds texture and movement, giving the photographs a tactile quality that you can feel through the thread. It’s a way of slowing down, spending time with an image, and letting it evolve into something layered and new.
Through this mix of photography and needlework, I explore themes of memory, craft, and the connection between old traditions and contemporary expression. My hope is that each piece invites you to pause, look a little closer, and find your own meaning in the fleeting moments I’ve captured and reimagined.
