Pink Lemonade

When TSA scanners give you lemons, make pink lemonade.

Story time. I love - like love - experimenting with film and art. If there is a “rule” to follow, you can assume I will break it on purpose. Including - but not limited to - not asking for hand check at the airport.

Now, that used to not be a problem for Polaroid film. I have dozens of packages sent through TSA scanners that are totally fine. Not sure if it’s a new formula or just the up-graded scanners (or both) but that’s a no-go for me now. Unless I purposefully want all my photos to be washed out.

Not realizing what I had done, I was devastated when I shot pack after pack and everything was washed out. I assumed it was the brand new camera I’d never shot with. But nope. It wasn’t the camera. It wasn’t even the film. It was the user.

Fast forward to now… I decided to make some pink lemonade out of these lemons. And to be honest?! I kinda love it. PS I ask for hand check for my Polaroid film now
